God's Goodness

I think often times we think that God stops being good due to certain life circumstances.

And that is the furthest thing from the truth.

God's goodness does not depend on us, it's simply who He is.

He was good when He sent His son to this world to be sacrificed for us.

He was good when Jesus was being accused, beat and spit on.

He was good when Christ took His last breath.

He was good when Jesus resurrected.

God's goodness never has anything to do with what we are facing.

His goodness comes from His loving nature.

God is good because it His nature to be good.

God could never not be good because it is not who He is.

He is always loving.

He is always forgiving.

God never stops being good.

Unlike us, His goodness does not require anything of us.

We are good to those who are good to us. But once that changes, we often do too.

God is not like that.

He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

So today take in His goodness.

Even if you feel that you are at your worst, God still continues to show up even in the smallest ways.

His goodness will follow you wherever you may go. You just have to realize it's there. It always has been.
